On Tuesday 16th February Mohammed Rahman, and his son Mafooz, at the Spice Lodge were entertaining His Excellency Zulqar Nain, Assistant High Commissioner for Bangladesh, Lord Jones of Cheltenham, the Mayor, Councillor Duncan Smith and his wife, Alex Chalk MP and some of the top local Hotel Managers and favoured clients to the delicacies of their Pan-Asian cuisine.

Cheltenham Town Football Club could be seen ‘sporting’ their Christmas jumpers at the annual Christmas Celebration Dinner last night. Much merriment was the order of the day. Now top of the League the Robins have a reason to add an extra sparkle to their celebrations.
On Monday 30th November 2015 at The British Curry Awards, Cheltenham’s Spice Lodge was once again crowned the title of Best Restaurant in the South West.
This is not the first time that the Spice Lodge has won this much sought after and competitive award. With a few thousand Indian restaurants in the South West it’s quite an achievement to come in first and illustrates the quality of the cuisine.
Mohammed Rahman opened Spice Lodge 10 years ago. Every year since then he has been short-listed for the Best in the West National Curry Awards Finals and has won the Award twice. The Finals take place in London this year on Monday 30th November.
Members of East Glos were treated to a meal of fantastic flavours by the expert team at Spice Lodge in Cheltenham, led by owner Mohammed Rahman. 55 members and guests gathered round the tables for plates of poppadoms with dips, followed by onion bahjis, tandoori minced kebabs and chicken sate sticks.
