On Monday 5th October Councillor Tim Harman hosted a dinner, on behalf of The Mayor, Councillor Duncan Smith and the Mayoress Helen Smith, for 41 guests at The Spice Lodge in Cheltenham. The dinner was held to raise funds for the Mayor’s Charities Riding for the Disabled and Maggies. A Raffle was held and one of the prizes included was a Bottle of Whiskey signed by David Cameron. A fantastic £780 was raised which will be split between the two charities.
Mohammed Rahman was honoured to welcome Shami Chakrabati, C.B.E. at Spice Lodge for lunch on Saturday, prior to her appearance at the Cheltenham Literature Festival. Shami said she enjoyed “a wonderful, wonderful meal”. She enjoyed her meal so much that in the evening she returned with Ali Smith, who was interviewing her and also promoting her book, for dinner! ” What better endorsement could the Spice Lodge have?
The Spice Lodge were very honoured to host the reception for the wedding of Lucy Jones, daughter of Lord Jones of Cheltenham to Dany Vencatasamy. A wonderful day was had by all and the Spice Lodge wish the happy couple all the very best for the future.
The spice Lodge had pleasure in launching its new business lunch menu to various business members in Cheltenham, including Intranet Futures, Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, Cheltenham Race Course, Cheltenham Evening Standard and Lord Jones and many others.
