On Tuesday 12th May Mohammed Rahman hosted a Fund Raising Dinner in aid of the Nepal Earthquake here at the Spice Lodge. It was coincidental that earlier that day there was a second earthquake. Although not as violent as the first, because the initial one had weakened so many buildings, the devastation was not much less. It also occurred near the mountains so avalanches were caused which added to the problem. A further 42 died and over 1000 more were injured.
On Tuesday 12th May the Spice Lodge will be hosting a fundraising charity dinner event for the Nepal earthquake victims.
For some time Spice Lodge has been the chosen venue for successful charity events. On 20th April Councillor Tim Harman hosted his second charity dinner here in the past six months.
The whole playing squad, backroom and office staff and board members gathered together at Spice Lodge, on what was chairman Paul Baker’s birthday, bonding ahead of Saturday’s home match against Plymouth Argyle.
The players could have been overwhelmed by the choice of Thai and Indian dishes on offer but Mohammed and his staff ensured they were on the ball and passing dishes around gave everyone a different taste experience.
