If sports and sporting heroes are your thing then dine with the best at Spice Lodge.

Cheltenham Town Football Club could be seen ‘sporting’ their Christmas jumpers at the annual Christmas Celebration Dinner last night.   Much merriment was the order of the day.   Now top of the League the Robins have a reason to add an extra sparkle to their celebrations.

Dining on the same night was Sir Christian Bonington, CVO, CBE, DL.  He is the British mountaineer whose career has included nineteen expeditions to the Himalayas, including four to Mount Everest and the first ascent of the south face of Annapurna.   Staying locally in Cheltenham Spice Lodge was his restaurant of choice to spice up his Christmas.  Appreciating achievement he congratulated Mohammed on winning Best In The West at the recent National Curry Awards for the third time.

Mohammed says:  “We are always honoured when we are visited by local and international famous personalities.   Dining in our restaurant is always an adventure as you never know who you will meet!”
